Bio
Emily Straw is a Northern Actor, based in Yorkshire. In her graduate season Emily will be performing the role of Mrs Cratchit in David Edgars RSC Adaptation of A Christmas Carol, directed by Tom Bellerby and Nastasya/Lizeta Ivanovna in Crime and Punishment, directed by Deborah Newbold. Credits in training included, Ma Gwynn in Jessica Swale’s Nell Gwynn, directed by Amie Burns-Walker and Ensemble in Leo Butlers Boy, directed by Elvi Piper. Emily also took part in a research and development project lead by Christina Fulcher for Straight White Men, which premiered in the UK at Southwark Playhouse in 2022. Outside of performing, Emily is also skilled in stage management, taking on this role for Boy and The New Age Fundraiser at Slunglow. Emily is an accomplished singer and mover, with a drive to create safe and inclusive spaces to work and develop.
