Bio
Leannah Gardner is a Scottish actor based in West Yorkshire. Prior to training at Leeds Conservatoire, Leannah studied Musical Theatre at Stageworx School of Performing Arts. During her time there she played Mrs Lyons in Blood Brothers and Mary Sunshine in Chicago. Through training, Leannah has developed passions for both stage and screen. Her screen debut will follow later this year, playing Kay in Slung Low’s upcoming film The Magician. Stage projects in training include Nell Gwynn and The Good King, a new play development by Luke Barnes. Leannah’s passion for storytelling has multiple languages, experienced in animation, drawing, costume design, production and playwrighting. Most recently, Leannah completed her first play, with the support of the National Theatre’s young writing scheme, New Views at Leeds Playhouse. In her third-year season, Leannah will be play a Witch in Macbeth, directed by Gitika Buttoo and Katerina Ivanovna in Crime and Punishment, directed by Deborah Newbold.
