Bio
During training at Leeds Conservatoire, Mills notably played the title role in the actor-musical Nell Gwynn. Throughout the rest of their training, they’ve become a shapeshifter in their acting roles, active in their expression of gender and LGBTQ+ identity. Having transitioned from a dance background with competition winning street dance titles, Mills specialises in movement direction; choreographing music videos and dance film project ‘The Cycle’. Mills is involved in the creation of a cinematic anthology ‘Confessions’, spotlighting new writing. Alongside starring in this project, they are set to direct the short ‘Love-Tree’ providing their insight into queer love. Gaining experience in this avenue, Mills worked as an assistant director on Northern Opera Group’s Production of Silla, the first credit in their directorial ambitions. In their third-year season, Mills will be leading the cast of Crime and Punishment as Raskolnikov and taking on a performance ensemble role, alongside Movement Direction in Darknet.
