Bio
Yadel Gebeyehu is a Leeds based actor, originally from Leicester. In 2018 he was the winner of the Stage Scholarship, which enabled him to attend Rose Bruford College to study a foundation year in acting. He went on to study at Leeds Conservatoire where his roles in training include; Thomas Cromwell in Anne Boleyn, Andrei in Chekhov’s Three Sisters, and Teenage Boy in Leo Butler’s Boy. As he enters his third year of training, Yadel will be playing Jamie in Darknet, by Rose Lewenstein and the Ghost of Jacob Marley in David Edgar’s adaption of A Christmas Carol. As a care leaver, Yadel enjoys making theatre that speaks to the experience of young adults, as well as exploring political work that inspire or truthfully reflects a society. His ambitions include directing and performing across stage and screen. However, his primary goal is to make art and be part of the change that is possible through storytelling and representation.
