Bio
Tariq Yaseen is an actor from South East London, currently in his 3rd year of actor training at Leeds Conservatoire. He began his acting career in Sixthform with no prior experience in the field but fell in love with the craft during his time at Sixthform. He is a hardworking & determined individual that loves performing in roles that give him a challenge that allow him to transform and improve as a performer.
His previous roles whilst in training include Earl in The Cherry Tortured (written and directed by Aaron Posner) which was an adaptation of The Cherry Orchard written by playwright, Anton Chekhov. In addition to this, Tariq played the role of Thomas/Lucifer in Faustus: That Damned Woman, by Chris Bush directed by Amie Burnswalker.
In his graduate season, Tariq has played Romeo Montague in Shakespeare’s classic tale of Romeo and Juliet at Leeds Playhouse and is due to appear as Sergeant Miletus in Welcome to Thebes, written by Moria Buffini, at The Carriageworks Theatre.
