Bio
Freya Boardman is a Coventry born Actor and multi-instrumentalist currently training at Leeds Conservatoire as an Actor Musician. She began training in ballet and singing in choirs, but soon turned to Acting and Musical Theatre which has led her to performing in venues such as Disneyland and The Royal Albert Hall. Having performed in a new musical at The Edinburgh Fringe, Freya is keen to combine her skills as an Actor, Writer and Musician in future projects. While studying at Leeds, Freya has had the opportunity to write a short libretto for an Opera North workshop, take part in a new musical Research and Development, and take on the challenge of puppetry director for Lorca’s Yerma (Jo Clifford translation).
Credits at the Conservatoire include: Sister 1 in Yerma, Alice in Dick Whittington: The Rock'n'Roll Panto, Napoleon in Animal Farm, and Mauler in Saint Joan of the Stockyards.
This graduate season, Freya has played Capulet in Romeo and Juliet is due to appear as Talthybia in Welcome to Thebes. Freya plays: Flute, Violin, Guitar, Ocarina and Tin whistle.
