Bio
Benji Reed is a versatile Manchester actor whose naturalism and drive to nail everything that is put before him allow for compelling performances across film, television, and theatre. Benji developed an early passion for acting, performing in school plays and local theatre productions, with his first role being the Artful Dodger at the Garrick Theatre at age 12.
Benji’s first passion was football, playing for the Manchester United academy for several years, where he learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and dealing with rejection. His athletic build, which he has maintained, complements his above-average stature, and he is not afraid to showcase it.
Benji has already secured a role on television, having auditioned and landed a part in the BBC One drama The Listeners, directed by Janicza Bravo, which is set to air in December 2024. In his graduate season, Benji will be playing Lee Turner in John Proctor Is The Villain at the Leeds Playhouse and Micke in Let The Right One In at Leeds City Varieties.
