Bio
Anna Sophia Helstone is a West Yorkshire-based Actor-Musician and Operatic/Lyrical Soprano. She has performed lead roles with the Scottish Opera Young Company (2018-2023) and made her professional debut as Elvira in the Georgian Theatre Royal Butler Company’s production of ‘Blithe Spirit’ in 2022 before pursuing her training at Leeds Conservatoire. Anna is a passionate lover of music, having a long history in Musical Theatre and engagement with diverse music genres, trying out any instrument she encounters. She has studied and performed with Viola, Electric Guitar, Piano, Tenor Viola Da Gamba, Trombone, Tin Whistle, and the Icelandic Shaman Drum. Historical and vintage costume is her second love but constrained by the size of her wardrobe.
At Leeds Conservatoire, she has taken on the roles of Tricky Dicky in ‘That Bloody Woman’, Heather in ‘Emilia’, Nina in ‘The Seagull’, Will Scarlet in ‘Robin Hood Rock’n’Roll Panto’, and Phoebe in ‘The Ballad of Maria Martin’.
