Bio
Ivan Furber is an actor-musician from the East Midlands, currently training at Leeds Conservatoire. A skilled singer-songwriter who later embraced musicianship, Ivan plays bass guitar, flute, and electric guitar.
They released their debut EP Interval in 2021, which they wrote and composed. The two singles from the EP were featured on BBC Introducing and played across BBC Radios Nottingham, Leicester, and Derby.
With an academic background in Japanese from Oxford University, Ivan began their acting training with minimal experience. As a deaf actor, they have ambitions to work in accessible productions, family theatre and pantomime, voice acting, and to continue songwriting, drawing new inspiration from bossa nova.
Ivan looks forward to their graduate season, where they will appear as Lord Howard in Emilia, John Balance, and as the Assistant Director of That Bloody Woman, while also being involved in the musical ensembles of both productions.
