Bio
Tom Donoghue is a 22 year old actor whose journey began in Scarborough's youth theatre at the Stephen Joseph Theatre. He transitioned to Leeds to pursue a formal acting education at Leeds Conservatoire, a choice largely influenced by his passion for supporting the arts in the North of England.
During Tom's studies, alongside the classwork, he collaborated with local theatre companies including Wrongsemble, Sneaky Experience, and Red Flags Theatre. These partnerships exposed him to the intricacies of improvisation, enhancing his skills in on-the-spot creativity and the challenges of working with children and young people - something he enjoys very much.
In the upcoming season, Tom is very excited to explore a Shakespearean text, delving into the character of Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet; an exciting new challenge for a normally contemporary actor. Then leading into a juxtaposing character, playing the antagonist Prince Tydeus in Welcome To Thebes in March 2024.
