Leeds Conservatoire has a global outlook and, as part of this, expanded its partnership with China Conservatory of Music during a recent visit. Principal Professor Joe Wilson and Head of International Recruitment Victoria Barber were amongst the invitees to CCM’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

The Contemporary Pop Choir has been chosen as a finalist for this year’s How Sweet The Sound competition and will be competing in the Large Choirs category against renowned choirs from Denmark, Italy and the UK.

Leeds Conservatoire and the Red Violin festival have teamed up to bring a fun, free of charge, musical experience to the city and invite violinists of all ages and abilities to join.

A brand-new network has been created to connect creative musical talent with opportunities in West Yorkshire. Launched by Mayor Tracy Brabin in collaboration with Leeds Conservatoire, Come Play With Me, and CREATEBritain, the regional network will be a central hub for music industry professionals to share knowledge and insight, create opportunities and collaborate.

Every year, the RPS provides funding to talented young musicians who do not own an instrument suitable for their professional training. The RPS has again chosen to support three of our students.

The National Student Survey (NSS) gathers students’ opinions on the quality of their courses and the conservatoire is again pleased with its results.
