A new report reveals sustainability is at the heart of higher education institutions across Yorkshire, including Leeds Conservatoire.

Nadia Kadek has secured a coveted slot at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, ahead of graduating from the Songwriting course at Leeds Conservatoire this summer.

The Royal Armouries has laid down the gauntlet to Leeds Conservatoire students, challenging a group of fifty to create twelve works in under ten days. The works will be performed to the public on a special museum takeover day on Friday 7 June.

The Ivors celebrates songwriters and screen composers and recognises the craft and achievements of outstanding music creators. This year’s nominees include Max Clilverd, a Leeds Conservatoire graduate.

UK Music held its annual awards celebrating the best of the Music Academic Partnership (MAP) network. Ruby Ewing, who studied Songwriting at Leeds Conservatoire, secured a Special Mention prize, with Actor Musician graduate Tasha Dowd also nominated.

Yorkshire Universities, of which Leeds Conservatoire is a member, has published a statement on International Higher Education and its significance across Yorkshire and the Humber.
