Katie Shortt, a graduating member of Leeds Conservatoire’s first Acting cohort, is set to perform at Underbelly at the Edinburgh Fringe from 2 to 13 August 2023.

The project will explore how, through partnership and co-design, the conservatoire can engage with community groups and trial new ways of creating relevant orchestral experiences.

The 2023 nominees include Elysha Clay and James Jarvis from Leeds Conservatoire.

Leeds Conservatoire Contemporary Pop Choir wowed Volney Morgan in a workshop, which led to them performing together live on two consecutive nights and being played on BBC Radio 4.

Neha Eapen was announced as one of the winners, for her pantomime debut, at a star-studded ceremony at the Trafalgar Theatre in London’s West End.

The funds awarded through the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme will be used by the conservatoire to make environmental improvements to its building.
