A movement focussed on equality, diversity and opportunities for young women in the creative industries has named Ramona Rose as the top prize winner in its Future Hitmaker Competition.

The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Scholarship has been awarded to Olivia Davidson, a gifted student on the conservatoire’s three year BA (Hons) Musical Theatre programme.

The original lead singer of The Osmonds and prolific solo artist was interviewed by Christine Talbot about his life and career in front of a fan-filled audience in The Venue on Thursday 1 December.

Hard rock band Black Star Riders have announced Sam Wood as their new guitarist. Sam graduated from our Popular Music course in 2010, and is also a member of Wayward Sons and Land Sharks.

Students from local further education provider, University Centre Leeds, will have the chance to work alongside Leeds Conservatoire students on a variety of events and productions.
