The Venue at Leeds Conservatoire has hosted some of the world’s finest performers. On Thursday 1 December, original lead singer of The Osmonds and prolific solo artist Merrill Osmond spoke at length about his life and career to a fan-filled audience.
Merrill has performed throughout the world in many major venues and has produced and written the music and lyrics for 5 number one hit records. It’s Merrill’s incredible voice you can hear on hits including ‘One Bad Apple,’ ‘Let Me In’ and ‘Love Me For a Reason.’
Interviewed by award winning TV presenter and journalist Christine Talbot, Merrill spoke frankly and shared stories from throughout his decades long career. He also performed the 1972 hit single ‘Crazy Horses,’ from the album of the same name.
Christine shared on social media afterwards, “What a night hosting Merrill Osmond ‘My Life Story’ at Leeds Conservatoire. Merrill spoke in depth about the story behind The Osmonds for the first time. Honest and raw. A brilliant audience and fantastic music too. Thank you!”
Merrill added, via his Facebook page, “I just wanted to take a second and thank everyone for attending the interview tonight. Many subjects were covered. I am such a fan of Christine Talbot. Her questions for me tonight made me think deeply about my 64 year career.
“There was laughter as well as tears as we walked through stories that moulded my life and the lives of my family.”
