The latest National Student Survey (NSS) results have shown that our third year students reported an 84% overall satisfaction rate – our highest ever score.

This is a 4% increase on our 2019 result and sits significantly higher than the HE music sector average. Our survey saw a response rate of 85% from our student body, our second highest on record.

The NSS is an opportunity for final year students across the UK to give feedback on their student experience, measuring satisfaction based on teaching, learning, feedback and assessment.

Our students particularly commended the conservatoire’s Learning Resources, Teaching, and Learning Opportunities that they received during their time studying here.

All three TEF areas (Teaching, Assessment and Feedback, Academic Support) received excellent satisfaction rates, with Teaching and Assessment and Feedback both gaining a year on year increase to reach 86%.

Vice Principal & Director of Curriculum Joe Wilson said; “We’re thrilled to see these excellent results - which is our second record-breaking year in a row. This is testament to the hard work and dedication of our fantastic staff, and their commitment to delivering top quality teaching and support to our students.

We are hugely grateful to our dedicated team, and we would like to thank our students for recognising the conservatoire with this positive feedback.”
