Singer-Songwriter Secures Glastonbury Slot

Nadia Kadek has secured a coveted slot at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, ahead of graduating from the Songwriting course at Leeds Conservatoire this summer.

“It’s been very surreal, crazy and something that I never thought would ever happen,” said Nadia. “I am hugely excited about playing at Glastonbury. When I was younger, I went to the festival and was very immersed in live music and festivals. I have some very early memories of it and being in lots of mud, so this is going to be a full-circle experience for me.”

Other highlights as a student in Leeds include opening for Marika Hackman earlier this year at The Wardrobe and being selected for artist submission at Live at Leeds festival in 2023.

Nadia combines pop and indie pop components in her music to produce a distinctive sound that is both catchy and thought-provoking. With a hint of vulnerability, her compositions build human narratives that strike a chord with listeners.

This year’s Glastonbury Festival is taking place from 26 to 30 June. Headliners are Dua Lipa, SZA and Coldplay, and the Sunday legends slot will be taken by Shania Twain.

Nadia is set to perform on the Acoustic Stage on 30 June, 1:00PM to 1:40PM.

Update 1 July 2024:

After her super set at Glastonbury Nadia shared "it was a bigger stage than I am used to and I was surprised how many people were there to watch me. Hopefully it will lead to big things."

This was included in multiple outlets including The Yorkshire Post.
