Song One – ‘Let You Go’ by Oliver Vawdrey
Oliver Vawdrey is an Indie/Pop artist from Manchester with an upbeat sound and honest lyrics that you can relate to. He takes inspiration from artists/bands such as Sea Girls, Harry Styles and The 1975. Their dark guitar and vocals matched with upbeat rhythm create a unique sonic environment for his expressive melodies to sit and resonate with his listeners.
‘Let You Go’ is a song about finding comfort and balance in someone unexpected and the connection that accompanies that. It references the importance of not letting go of things and people important to you, as they build you to be stronger within yourself.

Song Two – ‘Man on the Moon’ by Limbo Days
Limbo Days is a musical project that ventures in and out of genres, taking influence from 70s rock and soul to modern indie psychedelia and neo-soul. Based in Manchester, UK, the project is fronted by ringleader Elliot Gaspar, who graduated from our Music Production course in 2019 and self produces the work.

Song Three – ‘No One Saving Me’ by Ewan Mainwood
Ewan Mainwood graduated from our Songwriting course in 2021 and has since supported the likes of Ed Sheeran and Tom Walker at venues across London. His upcoming debut EP features collaborations with the likes of Jake Gosling, Rationale and his old friend RISC.

Song Four – ‘Swimming’ by Alfie Blue
Alfie Blue are a Leeds based Indie Rock/pop band. Since forming in 2021, Alfie Blue have released four singles on all streaming platforms. Their second single, 'Tonight' was chosen as BBC introducing's track of the week back in May 2021.
With inspiration from Mac Demarco, the 1975 and Rex Orange County, Alfie Blue have a unique dream-like sound giving off a chill, feel-good vibe. After playing several gigs across Leeds and the North East, Alfie Blue are rising in the Leeds scene, playing festivals such as Sound City, headline shows at Wharf Chambers and the Lending Room and supporting bands such as 'Only Sun' at Hyde Park Book Club.

Song Five – ‘passing by (castle in the sky) by in the beyond
in the beyond are an electronic pop-rock duo from Leeds combining elements of live alt rock, hyper pop and energetic dance beats to create their unique hybrid sound. Hand in hand with retro gaming samples and a strong anime influence, they are able to bring out a feeling of euphoric nostalgia from their audience.

Song Six – ‘Leo Moon’ by My nose is pierced
My nose is pierced is a five-piece pop, indie-rock band from Leeds. The band have already released tracks such as 'this is a very angry song' and are preparing to release their first EP. Their music combines influences from R&B, Pop and Rock with ironic lyrics and references to modern-culture and personal experience.
Song Seven – ‘Inevitable’ by Faith Ruddick
Leeds-based singer-songwriter, Faith Ruddick, has been writing lyrics and melodies since she taught herself the guitar at the of eight. With a passion for poetry and singing, Faith has blended these two skills to create a raw, truth-telling style of music; drawing from her inspirations of folk, soul, and pop music.

Song Eight – ‘Weave’ by Fran Minney
Graduate Fran Minney creates a dreamy indie electronica soundtrack to the colourful woodland world she mentally inhabits. Minney’s songs are inspired as much by her mental health and the people she’s interacted with as they are by the daily paintings that the world makes for her. Though deeply personal, her songs have an ability to be felt and understood by almost everyone. Much of this comes from rich, honest vocals which manage to be haunting, powerful and intimate all at the same time.

Song Nine – ‘Stains’ by Maddie Morris
Maddie Morris was the winner of the BBC Radio 2 Young folk award and is a contemporary folk musician, who is heavily influenced by traditional protest song. Originally from Bedfordshire and currently based in Leeds, Maddie is a strong believer that ‘the personal is political’, and uses her own experience to raise discussion are issues such as LGBTQ rights, CSA, Feminism and trauma, to name a few.

Song Ten – ‘Sueño con coyotes’ by Benjamin Sermon
"Since graduating I've left the UK (first for Spain, and now Colombia) and my work has gone in an unexpected direction. This track (Sueño con coyotes) feels like a synthesis of the jazz I was studying at Leeds, and the nueva canción that I've been moving towards since."
