Vick has worked in various sectors of music for 25 years. For six years Vick was CEO of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers & Authors (now known as the Ivors Academy). For her campaigning work Vick was enrolled into the Music Week Women in Music Awards Roll Of Honour 2017 and the BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour Music Industry Powerlist 2018.
Vick now works as a consultant in the music industry, whilst researching women’s careers in music, for a PhD at Queen Mary University. As an expert on equality and diversity in the music industry most of Vick’s projects have a diversity focus; she launched women in music initiative The F-List earlier this year in order to give more female musicians the opportunity to play at festivals.
