Leeds Junior Conservatoire Tutor

Bryan Chung is a jazz guitarist who is also proficient in blues and pop/rock styles having studied with Mark Leung in Hong Kong for over a decade. He earned his Master's and Bachelor's degree at Leeds Conservatoire under the tutelage of Jamie Taylor and Jiannis Pavlidis. Upon graduation he set up a private guitar tuition business which helps aspiring guitarists gain the instrumental knowledge and musical training to play confidently and with style, as shown at the student concerts and jam sessions that he hosts. As a music teacher Bryan has delivered workshops on transcription and improvisation, coached a guitar ensemble at Leeds City Council Artforms, and taught small groups and whole classes in schools. He is building an online presence through recording educational video courses and producing original content.

As a gigging musician he has performed at York Blues Festival, Wharfedale Blues Festival, and Saltaire Festival. He has experience playing in musical theatre pit bands as well as playing with bands across various genres at The Wardrobe, The Domino Club, Sela Bar, Matt & Phreds, and Harrogate Blues Bar.
