Dave Clews has been at the forefront of the UK music industry since 1990 as a recording engineer, programmer and musician. His recording career highlights include an eight-year residency at London’s Sarm West from 1994-2002, during which time Dave engineered and played keyboards on albums by George Michael, Kylie Minogue, Tom Jones and Tina Turner, among others.

In 2007, Dave began a second career as a music technology writer and educator, and has since published a total of over 400 reviews, features and tutorials for magazines and websites. He served as Computer Music magazine’s regular music theory columnist for 88 issues, and currently contributes a monthly songwriting column. He is the regular Logic Pro X expert for iCreate magazine, and has also written extensively for Attack magazine, an online dance music and lifestyle website.
Dave is also the author of ‘Avid Pro Tools Basics’, a beginner’s guide to Pro Tools, which was published in 2015.
