Hamish was born in Belfast and moved to Scotland at a young age. He gained a BA Hons Degree from York University before training as an actor at Arts Ed.
As well as having close to thirty years experience as an actor and director, Hamish has also been teaching and guest directing at Leeds Conservatoire, Arts Ed, East 15 and LSDA. Hamish has worked extensively in Theatre, TV and Film. Credits include Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (Film), Lip Service (BBC), All at Sea (CBBC), The Other One (BBC), Funny Woman (SKY), Feel Good (CH 4). As Director, Hamish was Artistic Director at the Tabard Theatre in London from 1999 to 2003 winning three Time Out Critics Awards. He is also a freelance director. |
