Jamie is a dancer, choreographer, ballet master, and director with a career spanning over a decade and a half. Trained at London Studio Centre, Jamie gained invaluable experience touring the UK for three years with Images of Dance Company, under the direction of former Royal Ballet principals Margaret Barbieri and David Ashmole.
Upon graduation he worked with Scottish Ballet and The Israel Ballet before being invited to join Sarasota Ballet, USA in 2007. Over the next 13 years, Jamie worked his way up through the ranks to become a Soloist with the company and performed an extensive repertoire of ballets by renowned choreographers such as Frederick Ashton, George Balanchine, Kenneth MacMillan, Anthony Tudor, Paul Taylor, and Martha Graham.
He creating over 10 works for Sarasota Ballet and has been commissioned to choreograph for Dance Overture, The Kinetic Ballet Ensemble, and an independent dance film, The Sea.
Jamie founded Capital Ballet in 2020, initiating The Performance Intensive, providing recent graduates and students with performance experience in a professional environment.
Jamie holds a BA in Theatre Dance with a specialization in Classical Ballet and is pursuing a Masters in Dance Education at the University of the Creative Arts. Jamie's dedication to staying abreast of the latest trends and techniques in ballet education underscores a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
