Award winning Tenor Saxophonist and Composer has collaborated with an array of musicians from diverse musical backgrounds and played at some of the most prestigious venues in the country. Some of his most frequent and notable work has included The Stan Tracey Group, The Gareth Lockrane Big Band, The Andrew Cleyndert Trio, The London City Big Band, The Clark Tracey Group, The Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, The Louis Dowdeswell Big Band and The Callum Au Big Band amongst many others.

Originally from Doncaster, at the age of 13 Nadim joined the Doncaster Youth Jazz Association (DYJA) directed by John Ellis MBE. Nadim progressed rapidly winning numerous awards through DYJA and Shortly after became highly in demand for gigs, functions and session work. He then went on from here to study a diploma in Jazz Studies at Leeds Conservatoire further flaming his passion for music before soon after graduating with ‘First Class Honours’ from the Royal Academy Of Music.

During his studies at RAM, Nadim received nominations for The ‘Worshipful Company Of Musicians Jazz Award’ and was also a winner of ‘The Humphrey Lyttelton Royal Academy of Music Jazz Award’ where he performed alongside the Humphrey Lyttelton Group at the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. The award was won for his original compositions for his group called ‘Hidden Words’ which promoted the writings from the Baha’i Faith and featured notable musicians such as Kwabena Adjepong, Calum Gourlay and James Maddren.

Nadim is a former member of The National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO). Nadim performed with NYJO at some of the top venues across the country including the BBC Proms in 2012, Valentines Park’ in Redbridge for the Queens ‘Diamond Jubilee’ and an impromptu album launch with Jamie Cullum.

As well as performing, Nadim enjoys teaching, workshop leading, composing, arranging and leading his own ensembles. Nadim endeavours to emphasize his spiritual roots of the Baha’i Faith and express this in all areas of his work.
