Neil Tattersall is a fight director and stage combat teacher with the British Academy of Dramatic Combat (BADC), teaching primarily around Yorkshire and the North East. He gained his degree in Performance: Theatre from the University of Leeds and a PGCE with the Open University.
As well as Leeds Conservatoire, Neil has taught at ALRA North, The Musical Theatre Academy, and Newcastle College, and currently teaches on all levels of University Centre Leeds' BA (Hons) Acting degree at The Mill School of Performance; he was instrumental in the course achieving full degree accreditation in 2021.
Recent visiting lecturer roles have included University of York, Salford University, and York St. John University. From 2019 to 2021 Neil was the fight consultant on the outdoor spectacular Kynren, and continues to be a visiting teacher at Northern Stage, and Treasurer on the BADC Committee.

Notable professional credits include the multi award-winning God’s Own Country (Dir. Francis Lee), Green Screen Productions' Macbeth (Dir. Kit Monkman), After the Blue (Jermyn St. Theatre), Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune (Northern Stage), and Carmen (Opera North).
