Best known for his work with behemoths Bellowhead and Oysterband, Pete has also played with folk luminaries like Martin Carthy, Maddy Prior, Dave Swarbrick, Lisa Knapp and Tim Van Eyken; great rock and pop artists like Billy Bragg, Marc Almond, Green Gartside, Joan Wasser and Camille O'Sullivan; improv legends Harry Beckett and Lol Coxhill; august conductors like Charles Hazelwood and Marin Alsop; TV and radio stars Sandi Toksvig, Ronnie Corbett and Denise Van Outen; and many fine and inspiring players met on travels abroad like Raghu Dixit (India), Cicala Mvta (Japan), Mama Rosin (Switzerland), Patrick Watson and Bell Orchestre (Canada).

He has worked as MD for pieces as diverse as Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale and a BBC3 concert film of the music of Sandy Denny. His written music includes numerous Bellowhead arrangements, scores for stage and radio, and a couple of solo albums.
