Following many years as a gigging musician (UK, Europe and USA), in the late 1990’s Si focused more on songwriting and production, which led to a Music Production degree at Leeds Conservatoire. Whilst completing his degree, Si joined forces with a fellow alumni and set up a commercial recording studio and music production company in Leeds which ran successfully for 10 years. As well as recording/producing a multitude of bands and artists from the local area, across Britain and some European artists, under the banner of ‘Hightone Productions’ Si has co-written and produced bespoke music for many media companies, in addition to sound design, composition and production for multiple theatre productions on both a national and international level.
Si began lecturing at Leeds Conservatoire in the Autumn of 2011 and continues to undertake freelance production and sound design work outside of lecturing duties. He successfully completed his MA in Music Production in January 2016
