Student Finance & Budgeting

This section provides information for students about financing their studies and links of where to find the most up to date information.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we recommend regularly checking the latest Government updates relating to Student Finance.

Anyone can afford to go to university, no matter their circumstances, and there is a range of financial help available. You can apply for a Student Loan from the government to pay for your tuition fees, and a Maintenance Loan to help with your living costs at university. Living costs can include rent, bills, food and nights out for example – all these things and more are what the Maintenance Loan is there to help you pay for. You can have a read through of the Student Maintenance Loans Guide
here for further information.

There are also scholarships and bursaries available. These provide financial support which you do not have to repay. Details of LCoM’s offer can be found on our Fees and Funding page below.

Our friendly Student Support team can help provide you with support on how student finance works, offer budgeting advice and can discuss what funding you might be eligible for. We have removed audition fees for all courses in order to improve the accessibility of conservatoire training for prospective students from all backgrounds and we also offer an audition travel costs bursary for applicants from low-income households. More information about our Student Support team and how they can help you can be found on our Fees and Funding page.
