Do you have an idea for a new project or product that isn't covered by any of our other schemes? A business concept that you want to try out, but you're not able to raise the funds to do it on your own? We are able to provide ‘proof of concept’ funding for new projects or business concepts, matching your own investment up to a maximum of £250 (assuming a £500 total spend). We can also offer bespoke help and advice to try and get your project off the ground.
The Proof of Concept Funding Scheme is open all year round to current second year, third year and postgraduate students, across all pathways at Leeds Conservatoire.
You may have an idea for an event - for example a club night or gig that needs some extra budget to get it off the ground. Or a busines idea you'd like to try, or a one-off project such as releasing a compilation album or making a film. The Proof of Concept scheme is here to support these projects with the money they need to get them moving.
- You are required to submit a funding application.
- Ensure your submission is clear and detailed to be in with a chance of having your request approved.
- Please keep in mind that you will be working with professionals, so acting professionally yourself will be expected.
- Please remember we will only fund up to £250, based on a total cost of £500.
- You will be notified shortly as quickly as possible as to whether or not we can support your submission.
- Please only apply to fund one project.
- Please remember we will only fund up to £250, based on a total cost of £500.
