If your household income will drop by 15% or more from the previous tax year, Student Finance can calculate your child's maintenance loan entitlement based on an estimated current income.
To qualify for a current year income assessment, your household income must be:
- at least 15% lower for the full current tax year compared to the year you gave details for
- £58,349 or less for the full current tax year
