Following the success of last year’s visit with their production of Mini Vixen based on Janáček’s opera The Cunning Little Vixen, Opera North were back at Leeds Junior Conservatoire with the next in their Little Listeners series: Cinderella
We were treated to the much-loved fairy tale, but not quite as we knew it…
The performance was a wonderful fun, family-friendly magical adventure where fate and love triumph all! Led by a cast of professional opera singers and musicians we experienced an interactive and relaxed concert where singing and movement were encouraged. It was a magical morning of opera, storytelling and music, for all ages.
We were thrilled to be joined by the company of professional singers and musicians for the performance which took place in the Rooftop Bar. The students thoroughly enjoyed the show and this is what they thought about the performance.
“Thank you for inviting us to your lovely show. We absolutely loved the music and the singing. We Loved the step mother came out in her dressing gown and everyone loved the entrance of the amazing fairy.”
- Harvey, Mali, and Feifei
“I think the actors worked extremely hard to put a smile on everyone’s face. The show was full of wonder!”
- Oliver
“Thank you for performing at Leeds Junior Conservatoire. We enjoyed the performance and how much effort you put in to your work – it made everyone’s day!”
- Scarlet, Shway & Anabell
