Summer Academy Highlights

This year’s Summer Academy was a resounding success, welcoming students from across the world to Leeds Conservatoire. Over an action-packed week, participants engaged in:

  • Specialist Lessons: Workshops in music performance and music production, led by conservatoire tutors
  • Working in a Music Studio: All participants got the chance to work in a recording studio, either behind the desk or performing.
  • Showcase Performances: Students performed in a concert hall, showcasing their growth and collaboration.
  • Evening Activities: Social events, networking opportunities, informal jams,  open mics, a quiz, performances from current HE students and more.

Course standard

We recommend that students attending this Summer School pathway have a working knowledge of music theory, and a performance standard on their instrument of grade 6 (or above).

Summer Academy pathways

As well as this performance strand, there is another available Summer Academy pathway in Music Production. Both strands will run on the same dates of Monday 28 July  - Friday 1 August 2025.
