Fees & Funding

Find out how much it costs to study and what financial support is available.

Costs

There are two main costs to consider when applying for degree level study:

  • Tuition fees
  • Living costs

There is funding available for both, so no applicants should be deterred from studying on the grounds of affordability.

Key points:

  • Most Home (UK) undergraduate students will not have to pay tuition fees whilst studying.

  • Tuition fee loans are available to UK undergraduate students, which are only paid back according to how much you earn when you graduate, and not how much you have borrowed.
  • Maintenance loans are available to most UK undergraduate students to help with living costs. These are paid back on the same basis as the tuition fee loan.
  • An additional non –repayable bursary is paid by Leeds Conservatoire to UK undergraduate students from lower income households.
  • Most Home (UK) postgraduate students are eligible for a Postgraduate Master's Loan which is a contribution to both tuition fees and living costs.
  • If you are an EU national starting in September 2025 your fee status may be home or overseas, depending on your circumstances.
