Thank you for signing up to be part of the One HundRED Violin Flash Mob as part of The Red Violin Festival. This page contains everything you need to know.
Learning the Piece
When you signed up, you selected which part you would like to play. Our conductor, Helen Harrison, has put together some helpful videos to help you learn your part. There is a warm-up and tutorial for each part. Each video contains important hints and tips, so we encourage you to look at these at home or with your teacher.
You can click on the dropdown menus below to access a PDF of your part, alongside the tutorial and warm up.
You can get a feel for the whole piece here. This is an audio file of sections 4 to 7.
Helen has also recorded an important video about how she is going to conduct the piece. You can watch it HERE

The Venue
The Rehearsal
The rehearsal will take place in The Venue from 9:30am to 11:00am and will be led by Helen Harrison. Helen will take you through a warm-up and rehearse the piece. There will be time to answer any questions that you might have.
You will be given a break during the rehearsal and there will be a quiet breakout space available for anyone who needs it.

Holy Trinity
The Break
The rehearsal will end at 11:00am. During this time, you will make your way over to our Green Room at Holy Trinity on Boar Lane, which is a 15-minute walk (0.5 miles).
You will be able to leave your violin cases and any personal belongings (excluding valuables) during the performances.

Trinity Atrium
The Performances
The flash mob will take place in the Atrium at Trinity Leeds. We will be performing the piece three times:
- 12:05pm
- 12:30pm
- 12:55pm
You will need to be in your starting places 5 minutes before each performance. Between performances you can return to the Green Room at Holy Trinity if you wish.
Arrangements for under 18’s
If you are under 18, your parent/carer must sign you in with the team and then collect you at the end of the rehearsal at 11am. The Café:Bar at the conservatoire will be open for any parents/carers who wish to stay and wait. After 11:00am, you will then stay with your parent/carer to drop your violin case off in the Green Room at Holy Trinity and for the performances.
If you are 14-18, your parent/carer may have given consent for you to take part on your own when you signed up, so you would not need to be signed in and collected by an adult. Leeds Conservatoire staff will be around to help you and show you where to go.
