Choreography and Movement

Learn choreography from modern musical 'Girl from the North Country' with Broadway and West End Choreographer Lucy Hind

We’re delighted to share with you two activities that have been put together by Broadway and West End Choreographer and Movement Director Lucy Hind. Lucy is also a Musical Theatre Senior Lecturer at Leeds Conservatoire with a specialism in performance projects and contextual studies.

Lucy has previously worked on the show 'Girl from the North Country' which is set in the 1930s, and both activities in the videos below are based on this modern musical. She talks about the importance of characters being truthful and to move around as they would have done at the time.

Please start by looking through the presentation slides , and watch Lucy’s videos below when prompted.
