The saxophone and harp duo community is an exciting up-and-coming genre, currently spearheaded by Manchester musicians. Since being established in 2019, Aaben Duo has given several performances of new and traditional works. Their programme features 18th Century French composer Joseph Bologne, one of the first classical composers of African descent, early 20th Century French composers Claude Debussy, Lili Boulanger, Maurice Ravel, and current Conservatoire de Paris Professor, composer and pianist Ida Gotovsky.
