Jonian Ilias Kadesha & Pablo Hernán Benedí

Do you think you can handle two violins and viola for 80 minutes?! If so, you’re invited on a journey across time from the Baroque music of Georg Philipp Telemann and Antonio Vivaldi, through the ages to new music written by Jörg Widmann, Giovanni Sollima, and Luciano Berio. Pablo Hernán Benedí, Jonian’s ‘violin brother’ and ‘musical soulmate’, completes this sensational string duo.

Hana Chang & Jonathan Ware

BBC New Generation Artist and YCAT violinist Hana Chang is already laureate of many international competitions whilst completing her studies at the Kronberg Academy. Internationally acclaimed for his exemplary and spirited playing, chamber musician and accompanist Jonathan Ware is a regular guest at the world’s leading recital venues, and recent appearances include Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall.

Purcell School for Young Musicians

Talented young artists of Purcell School present a programme of early 20th Century French music. Typically dreamy sound-worlds and harmonies richer are created by all combinations of flute, clarinets, string quartet, piano, and harp.

Leeds International Piano Competition Winner

This will be the first opportunity to hear the newest winner of the Leeds International Piano Competition performing in Leeds just months after the 2024 competition. The winner follows an illustrious line of past winners including Radu Lupu, Murray Perahia, Mitsuko Uchida, András Schiff, Lars Vogt, and more recently Eric Lu and Alim Beisembayev.

RAM: Georgi Dimitrov

A devotee of historically informed performance, classical guitarist Georgi Dimitrov alternates music of the English Renaissance with the 20th Century. He finishes his programme with a combination of the two in Britten’s epic exploration of a John Dowland theme, which is finally revealed in full at the very end of the work.
