Pro Corda – relaxed performance

A debut performance of original ambient music; classical musicians Aura (Laura Westcott) and Andrew Quartermain present their specially written music designed to give listeners a sense of escape in serenity. A peaceful sound world created of vocal and piano lines give a sense of relaxation, calmness, and reflection.

Vashti Hunter & Alasdair Beatson

This concert is performed by the wonderful British cellist, Vashti Hunter, and renowned British pianist, Alasdair Beatson. Together they explore the most Slavic part of Europe with intriguing and mesmerising compositions by Leoš Janáček, an epic sonata by Bohuslav Martinů, and the glorious Cello Sonata by Polish composer, Frédéric Chopin.

Stephen Hough
